How to Prevent Disease and Chronic Illness

In today’s lesson we are going to show you how to prevent disease and chronic illness. Let’s get started.

So how exactly do you prevent disease and chronic illness? Well, the first thing that needs to happen is you need to get at the underlying root cause of the problem. And how do you get at the underlying root cause of the problem? Very simply you do this by making changes to your diet, nutrition and overall lifestyle (behavior modification) – if you want to remedy the affliction and get at the underlying root cause of the problem.

In fact, most illnesses and ailments can be remedied with very minor lifestyle changes like becoming more active (exercising) or making changes to your diet by restricting your consumption of sugar and refined (processed) grains. And so what is the second thing that needs to happen?

how to prevent diseaseThe second thing that needs to happen would be for you to do what I have been doing since 2004; Get on a preventative health care program. Utilize natural health remedies instead of consuming toxic drugs (pharmaceuticals) that do nothing more than just temporarily treat the symptoms.

Let me give you a couple of examples of how to prevent disease to illustrate my point. The first point that I wish to illustrate will be a comparison between the conventional medicine sickness model and the “preventative” healthcare model that has kept me healthy and prescription drug free since 2004, and it can be summed up very simply like this;

The archaic, antiquated (old school) and obsolete conventional medicine sickness model which has been around for decades and continues to this day does nothing more than treat, manage and mask the illness and symptoms…

Alternatively the preventative healthcare model (new school) that I have been using since 2004, which consist primarily of utilizing natural remedies, PREVENTS the illness and symptoms from ever occurring in the first place…

And now here is the second example that I would like to use to illustrate and clarify my point.

This example can be summed up with the analogy of the cliff and the ambulance:

Let’s say that you have a situation where people are falling over the edge of a cliff, and are sustaining injuries as a result. This problem can be dealt with in two different ways.

  1. The first solution to deal with the problem is to station ambulances at the bottom of the cliff.
  2. The second solution to deal with the problem would be to erect a fence at the top of the cliff, which will of course prevent people from falling over the edge of the cliff and prevent them from sustaining any injuries in the first place.

Can you see where I am going with this? The obvious point here is that conventional medicine puts too much effort into the provision of ambulances and far too little into the simple approach of erecting fences. Or in other words, conventional medicine does nothing more than treat, manage and mask the illness and symptoms, whereas the preventative health care model that I have been using for the past twelve plus years prevents the illness and symptoms from ever occurring in the first place!

And here’s another thought that came to mind…

Now, maybe it’s just me, or maybe I just live in some alternative universe, but here is what I simply just do not understand.

If you had a choice to put one of the two following elements in your body, which one would you choose?

  1. A) Nutrients (e.g. plant-based foods and nutritional supplements)
  2. B) Toxic Chemicals (e.g. pharmaceutical drugs)

Now once again or maybe I am just living in some alternative universe, but I would think that most rational and sensible thinking people would choose option (A) from above (plant-based foods and nutritional supplements). To me personally it just makes sense that you would want to put nutrients in your body instead of toxic chemicals (e.g. pharmaceutical drugs).

Now granted, I understand that for many people, they may have no other choice but to take medication because they need to take them (pharmaceutical drugs) to survive, or to treat some pre-existing condition; I get that of course. However, considering the fact that close to 70% of Americans are now taking some form of pharmaceutical drugs, a very large proportion of them have now chosen to put toxic chemicals in their body instead of nutrients. I just don’t get it, but I hope that you understand the point I am trying to get across.
